Speaking Engagements

Branding and SEO

Can you do SEO in a way that doesn’t feel icky? Do keywords always have to be emotionless and robotic? Will the rise of AI exacerbate this battle?

This “ick” can be overcome by taking a creative approach to SEO. I’ll share real-life examples and strategies of clients who thought SEO was killing their brand until we brought creativity to their website design and content creation process. Examples range from e-commerce to service-based.

Interview Questions

  • Can editorial or thought leadership content rank on Google without using keywords?
  • What’s the relationship between website design and SEO?
  • Can you share examples of creative SEO campaigns?

Social Media vs Google: Which One Do You Choose?

With so many marketing channels available, it’s easy to spread yourself thin trying to be on all of them. The hard reality is that the channel doesn’t matter. What matters is understanding the psychology of how your customers shop online.

Using real case studies, I’ll teach you the difference between social media and Google, how to choose which is best for your business, and how to avoid common pitfalls business face when putting together their online marketing strategies.

Interview Questions

  • How have the psychology and behaviours of design consumers changed over the past 20 years?
  • How should designers go about making marketing decisions? What mindset and frameworks should they use?
  • Can you share case studies of design firms that successfully use social media? And another that uses Google?

Specializing Makes Sales and Marketing Easier

Designers often fear that becoming too specialized may cause a loss of business. From our experience, however, we see specialized designers thrive. They’re able to attract and convert high-quality leads, streamline their processes to increase profitability, and become go-to experts for premium clients.

While many talk about the importance of niching down, not many talk about the how. With case studies, I’ll share how we create and execute marketing strategies for ourselves and for clients to make business easier.

Interview Questions

  • Using research and case studies, what are the benefits of specializing?
  • What holds the design and build professionals back from specializing?
  • Once a business has made the decision to specialize, what do they have to do next?
