My mom says that couples who stay together long enough start to look alike.
If that’s true, I may end up with tattoos, become a gym rat, and develop a taste for coffee like Jesús in a couple of years.
Jokes aside, we’re seeing something similar online.
For years, Google, Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit operated like four roommates living in the same house – the internet – but rarely interacting. Today, the walls between those platforms are starting to disappear.
Nowadays, if you do a Google search, you may find a Reddit thread in the results. Or ask the Gen Z in your office, and you may be surprised how often they search for businesses on TikTok or Instagram instead of Google.
People don’t move through the internet in a straight line anymore. We bounce between Google, social media, and AI tools.ant to be known for.

What Do We Do About It As Marketers?
Your future client might discover you on Instagram, research you on Google, watch you on YouTube, and then ask ChatGPT for a recommendation.
At Findable, we don’t treat SEO and social media as completely separate channels anymore.
For one client, we optimized her Instagram profile around “interior designer in Mirasol, Palm Beach Gardens.”
Now, when someone searches Google for “interior designer Mirasol,” her Instagram profile shows up alongside her website.

That’s why, even when a client hires us “just” for SEO, we also always optimize their social media presence.
We look at Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube to make sure:
- Bios and captions use the right keywords.
- Positioning is consistent with the website.
- Links send people where they need to go.
- Recent posts reinforce what they want to be found for.
- Outdated content is archived.
That’s what a strategic digital presence looks like nowadays.
See you next next Thursday.
Tchau,
Daniela
